Dunoon fine bone china mugs are handcrafted in Staffordshire, England. They are produced to the highest quality using traditional methods which have been developed and refined over 3 family generations in the pottery industry.
This oversized mug, named after one of the greatest Glens in Scotland 'Glencoe', is one of our oldest shapes, yet remains one of our most striking. It has a great presence and our informative and educational patterns have remained the most popular designs on this shape. It has a flared top and a strong, comfortable handle so it feels very solid to hold.
A cup of tea solves everything and is welcome for almost every occasion. But do you know about any of its history and geographical background? Our superb tea mug designed by Caroline Dadd is filled with fun facts and information about our most important daily drink.
After working as a design manager at Royal Doulton, Caroline took over her father's business and was able to continue working with Dunoon on mug designs, graphics and packaging projects. She interprets many artists' work from Monet to Van Gogh including the Gustav Klimt-inspired mugs and created the fun, fact-filled Informative Glencoe mugs
